Who else is worried about what they can...and CANNOT ask during their first psychic reading? If you are anything like I used to be when I first started seeing psychics, you understand those initial butterflies that begin before the reading starts. What's OKAY to ask...and what is OFF limits? Are there some things a psychic is sensitive about (no pun intended)...or is everything fair game?
The truth is, in 20 years of writing about readings, research and all sorts of cool subjects related to psychic phenomena, I've learned that psychics are JUST like everyone else. They are each different, unique and have their own "do's and don't's" when it comes to what they prefer to talk about, or not. They are by and large, a very inquisitive, open minded and understanding bunch, and pretty much are open to ANYTHING that you want to know.

Question #1: "How can you PROVE you are really psychic?"
I've had MORE professional readers tell me that this question irritates them FASTER than just about anything else. And who can blame them? Would you walk into a doctors office and ask him for proof he is good at medicine? If you cared to know.....you SHOULD do your own due diligence before you walk through the door, right? You ask a neighbor, or read a review, or double check his credentials. The very SAME thing applies to psychic readings. No one likes to be confronted or challenged in this sort of setting, and this is one FAST way to upset a reader with one simple question.
Question #2: "When am I going to die?"
Most psychics won't answer this. (most can't even really SEE it to begin with) And nothing casts a pallor over a reading faster than talking about death! The truth is, a GENUINE psychic reading is about LIFE! How you can live your very best self.....serve your highest purpose and truly fulfill the unique and authentic destiny that each of us was born to live. Talking about the END of your life is not what you're there to do.....and many readers find it to be a bad omen when a client, or caller focuses on the END, rather than the new beginnings they hopefully called to discuss!

I've found that most psychics are amenable to just about anything you want to talk about. And take it from me....when you find a GOOD one who can read you the RIGHT way, talk a lot they will!

4. When your "free" reading DOES begin, you are often given a scripted, boilerplate horoscope style reading that is very generic and not too interesting..:-)
5. Often, the scripted "psychic" will attempt to up sell you again....this time telling you that several of their premiere psychics are available, and that their skills are necessary to address your issues. (as in.....you've issues TOO heavy for the scripted psychic to tackle..:-)
Do ALL free services follow this approach?
No, they don't. I'm generalizing a bit of course, but overall.....this has been my experience. There ARE of course a few psychic services that DO offer very legitimate free readings, but they are usually short, and of course, they DO want you to move on to a paid reading immediately thereafter. There is NOTHING wrong with this of course, as it's much more honest, ethical and enjoyable as well. LivePerson will give you a free chat session for example, and other services I use and recommend will offer a 6 minute reading to PROVE they are the real deal. (but again, both of these services put a "cap" on how long the free session can go, or they'd obviously go out of business pretty fast..:-)
The bottom line?
I recommend you avoid free readings altogether, unless you know where to go to get them. 90% of the ads you'll see for 100% no cost psychics are SCAMS, and they can be an expensive lesson in "buyer BEWARE" at that.
